We’re here for anyone affected by the cost of living crisis. We can provide advice to help with income maximisation, debt, budgeting and saving on your energy bills.

Pension Wise

Pension Wise is a free and impartial government service about the different ways you can take money from your pension.

  • Our free energy advice is available to help if you want to become more energy efficient, reduce your spending, access support with paying your bills or are experiencing an issue with your provider.

    Our dedicated energy advisers can provide specialist advice to help with a range of energy issues. If you need to speak with one of our advisers get in touch with us. We also have a range of free online self-help advice to help you solve your issue.

  • Citizens Advice Wigan Borough is working in partnership with Macmillan to support you if you’re diagnosed with cancer and need benefit advice.

    If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, we can help by providing free, confidential and impartial benefit advice.

    We can help with:

    • Checking your eligibility for benefits

    • Form filling

    • Appealing benefit decisions

  • MoneyPlan offers free financial guidance to people who may not normally be able to get professional advice.

    A fully qualified volunteer Financial Adviser can give guidance by appointment, either: face to face at our Leigh office, or over the phone.

    They can help with many money matters, such as:

    • equity release

    • financial planning

    • pensions

    • tax

    • savings and investments
